Mission

Haven is a community of artists in New York City - actors, dancers, musicians, writers, filmmakers, designers, etc. - that gathers each week to worship, pray, discuss, and fellowship together. Our mission is to empower artists to reflect Christ in the culture.

Haven is a para-church organization, which means we're made up of people from different churches around New York City. If you don't have a church you call home, we encourage you to contact us so we can help you find one. We are a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, and we're here to share the love of Jesus Christ with artists and to build up and mentor leaders in their faith.

Haven is completely run by volunteers. And if you're interested in helping out each week, there are plenty of great opportunities to become a leader. Contact us to find out how you can get involved.

Monday Nights

Haven gathers on Monday nights at Calvary Episcopal Church, where we have served as artists in residence since 2004. All artists from all backgrounds and churches are welcome: no invitation needed. Come and bring your friends!

We spend the first part of the night in community worship and prayer. We have a time of thanks, when we invite the community to stand up and share things we're thankful for this week; and we go into a time of community prayer, when we share what's on our hearts with the Lord. Then we break into groups to go through our discussion series. After that, we split into men and women to pray for one another. Finally, we head out into the city to get some food and fellowship together. It's a great way to hangout and get to know new friends after Haven.
